Willie’s Room. Willie’s Room has moved down the hall. The room, now located in the original area of The Schooler House, overlooks Caroline Street, with a view of the Rising Sun Tavern. The room is named for Williametta Schooler, daughter of Mary Schooler. Willie lived in the house, after the death of her mother, until 1913. The bedroom contains a fireplace with original mantel and surrounded by old tiles. The fireplace is converted to gas logs for cozy evenings. There are antique pictures and collections contained in this room. The bathroom (en suite) has a large walk-in shower with easy access. The sitting room contains a rocking chair and love seat that gives guests a birds eye view of The Rising Sun Tavern. Room rate: $150.00 daily. Annie’s Room. This room is named for Annie Layton, the second owner of the home from 1913 until 1955. The bedroom has a fireplace with original mantel and surrounded with lovely old tiles. The fireplace is fitted with gas logs, for cozy evenings. Guests rave about the comfortable, antique queen size iron bed, lovely antique furniture and decorated with old prints and collections. Payment and Cancellation Policy:. The Schooler House takes MasterCard, Visa, check, or cash. Deposits (one night stay) are required to hold reservations. A full refund is gladly refunded 10 days prior to arrival minus a $25 cancellation fee. After 10 days the refund is prorated.
House Rules:. There is no smoking permitted in The Schooler House. Due to the numerous antiques on the premises, children and pets are discouraged. Check in time is from 2:00 to 6:00 and check out time is 11:00. Guests may bring luggage by The Schooler House prior to check-in time if arranged with the owner in advance.
